Biography

Shengkai Zhang (张胜凯) joined the School of Navigation at Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) in March 2026. Before this appointment, he worked at WUT’s School of Information Engineering from 2021 to 2026. He received his Ph.D. degree in Information and Communication Engineering from the School of Electronic Information and Communications, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), in 2021. He received master’s degrees from HUST and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2012 and 2014, respectively. From 2014 to 2017, he was a Research Assistant at the HKUST-DJI Joint Innovation Laboratory in Hong Kong. His research interests include autonomous maritime navigation, Gaussian splatting, SLAM, and multisensor fusion.
